Rosemary’s Last-Minute Christmas Card
Print Friendly

Hello! Hope everyone is having an enjoyable holiday season! Do you ever find yourself in need of a few more Christmas cards right before the big day? Well, I have a quick and easy way to create a fun and festive card for just those moments.

 Card

Background stamps are a wonderful way to create a quick card. For my card today, I’m using a stamp from Penny Black called Jolly Chant. I really like this stamp for quick cards because it includes a traditional holiday icon (the tree), as well as a large variety of holiday greetings. You can take the time to color the sentiments and images separately, but in order to make things quick, I chose to simply ink up the image with a nice bright green ink and stamp it onto white cardstock.

When I stamp with background stamps, I lay my background stamp rubber side up on my work surface, ink it up and then carefully lay my cardstock on top. I place a piece of scrap paper on top and carefully rub my hand across the entire stamp. This ensures that you will fully transfer the image to your cardstock. Once that was done, I simply added some red baker’s twine and a double bow tied with two silver jingle bells. The entire piece was then mounted on a red cardstock base to really make the green ink pop.

I hope you enjoyed my idea for a quick and easy last-minute holiday card!

Merry Christmas!!

Rosemary

Supplies used: White cardstock from Papertrey Ink; cherry cobbler cardstock from Stampin Up!; Jolly Chant stamp (#40-250) from Penny Black; grass chalk ink pad from Hero Arts; red baker’s twine from The Twinery
