  • 2 (8 x 5-inch) manila index card dividers
  • Variety of pink printed papers
  • White paper
  • Flash cards: "always," "laugh," "friend"
  • Rub-on transfers: black alphabet, pink "A" "F" monogram
  • Chipboard ampersand
  • Tape measure rubber stamp
  • Dye ink pads: pink, brown, black
  • Vintage plastic sewing tool
  • Pink ribbons
  • Black fine-tip marker (optional)
  • Rickrack stickers
  • Paper flowers: 1 large, 4 small
  • Black button
  • Brads: 4 gold mini, 1 large pewter
  • Sandpaper
  • Circle punches: 1-, 1 1/8-and 1 1/2-inch
  • Craft sponges
  • Craft knife
  • Stapler with staples
  • Adhesive foam tape
  • Adhesive dots
  • Paper adhesive
  • Computer and computer font

Project note: Sand edges of all pieces as desired.

Fold index card dividers in half and adhere together, forming a three-panel accordion-folded card. Adhere printed papers to front and back of each panel; trim edges even.

Punch three 1-inch circles from printed papers; punch 1 1/2-inch circles around punched circles off-center, forming circle frames. Adhere to card front. Attach a rickrack sticker to bottom.

Apply alphabet rub-on transfers to "F" monogram to spell "Friend." Tie two ribbons onto letter; trim ribbon ends. Use foam tape to adhere letter to card front.

Apply rub-on transfers to spell "To My" on tab on card front. Ink edges of a small flower with pink ink; insert a gold brad through flower center and adhere to tab.

Sponge pink ink onto "always" flash card; ink edges with brown ink. Attach a rickrack sticker to top edge of flash card. Staple several folded ribbons to right end of flash card. Adhere to first inside panel.

Use black ink to stamp tape measure on ivory card stock; cut out and adhere to the right of "always" flash card. Use an adhesive dot to adhere a button to tape measure.

Cut off one side of "laugh" flash card and sponge pink ink onto card; ink edges with brown ink and adhere to center panel inside card. Adhere vintage plastic sewing tool to top of panel. Ink large flower with brown ink and insert pewter brad through center; adhere to sewing tool with adhesive dots.

Attach a rickrack sticker to tab on back panel. Cut off one side of "friend" flash card and sponge on pink ink. Ink edges with brown ink. Adhere to right side of back panel. Use a computer to generate, or hand-print, a large bracket on white paper; print and cut out. Adhere to left side of "friend" flash card. Insert gold brads through three small flowers; adhere below "friend."

Punch a 1 1/8-inch circle from printed paper. Apply "A" rub-on transfer to printed paper; cut out and use foam tape to adhere "A" to paper circle. Adhere above "friend" with foam tape.

Cut a 1 1/4-inch square from printed paper; use a craft knife to cut out a 1/2-inch-square opening, forming a square frame. Use a computer to generate, or hand-print, "be" on ivory card stock; cut a small rectangle around word to fit frame. Adhere rectangle to back of frame; adhere to top of back panel. Adhere chipboard ampersand beside frame.
