‘Twas five days ’til Christmas and all through the house,
I was in a mad rush and scurrying about;Â
Though I tried hard to get everyone on my list,
there were some cards I seem to have missed!Â
I dashed to my craft room, and whipped up a few;
It’s a good thing they’re easy, I needed a slew!Â
Though I try to stay on top of things, I frequently find myself rushing around at the last minute trying to get a few things done. Perhaps it is because my to-do list always requires much more time than I actually have in a day!
If you find yourself in a pinch at the last minute to get a few Christmas cards out, just keep in mind that they don’t need to be fancy or elaborate. Quick and simple cards still convey the same message as any handmade card, but because they are quick and simple, it will leave you more time to spend with your family during the holidays!
Check out these two simple and quick designs:
For this card, I used a metallic gold ink pad to stamp the snowflake for my background. I stamped and punched out a sentiment, then added a banner trimmed out of gold foil paper, and randomly stuck some linen thread on the back. It’s super simple, super quick, and still visually appealing!
This is another simple idea. By stamping the images and sentiment at varying angles, it speeds up the process by not having to spend time making sure everything is straight! I quickly stamped the images onto a piece of cardstock, added a small strip of patterned paper, and adhered the panel to my card base.
You can seriously make these cards in two minutes or less!
Don’t let your handmade projects create stress for you this season! Sit back, relax, and have fun seeing what quick card ideas you can come up with! Sometimes it is true …Â the simpler the better!
