Hi everyone! The holidays are now upon us and Christmas is just a few weeks away! I have a simple holiday decor project to share with you today that uses some basic paper-crafting supplies that most of us have like patterned paper, ribbon and chipboard pieces. This project also uses jar candles which is something many of us have in our cupboards. Having coordinating paper-crafting supplies helps make a simple project such as a candle wrap even easier to complete.
For my project, I decided to jazz up a simple jar candle with a holiday wrap. I cut a 6 x 6-inch sheet of patterned paper in half and then wrapped and adhered the pieces to the jar candle with an adhesive runner. I cut a piece of burlap ribbon to about 13 inches in length and secured that around the candle with a bit of adhesive. Note: The length of the ribbon and papers will vary depending on the size of your candle. I then cut a piece of red silk ribbon to approximately 14 inches, layered it on top of the burlap and secured it by tying the ends together at the back of the candle. To finish off the jar, I used a hot glue gun to layer and adhere a chipboard star and ornament to the jar.
I hope you enjoyed my project today and that you are inspired to dress up a plain jar candle with some of your paper-crafting supplies!
Supplies used: Jar candle from PartyLite; 25th & Pine 6 x 6 Paper Pad and Printed Chipboard Shapes from BasicGrey; burlap and red silk ribbons from May Arts Ribbon; adhesive runner from Tombow USA.
