Hi there! It?s Carolyn here to share another favorite product of mine. I started out as a stamper years ago. But in the past two years or so, my heart has been drawn to all the wonderful patterned paper that has been flooding the market. Of course, I still LOVE stamping on my cards but I also love creating cards using patterned paper.
Yep ? patterned paper is one of my favorite products! I use some form of it on almost all of my projects. Today, I am sharing a card I created using designer paper from Bella Blvd, and sharing how I personalized it to make it more original than simply adding the pieces onto a card.
First, I cut the border strip to form the bottom of the card and then replaced the ?a? with an ?o? in the sentiment to make it say ?hoppy? birthday.
I cut the frog from a different piece of patterned paper. Then I added some details. I put some flat black stickers over the frog?s eyes and used a paintbrush to add a little dot of white paint to them to bring his eyes to life. I added crystal Stickles glitter glue to the top of the hat. Finally, I threaded some marigold baker?s twine, which I separated the colored strands from the white, and added it onto the present for some texture.
I used some peapod baker?s twine to create a hopping path for the frog before adding the frog onto the card using foam mounting tape.
A little bit of washi tape stapled in the corner finishes off the design.
I love all the ways you can use patterned paper and all the ways you can personalize it with just a few embellishments. Hope this inspires you to try it!
