Christmas Spectacular: Clare’s Snow Globe Ornament
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi there! Clare popping in today with a cute little ornament!

I began this tag by thinking, “I’m going to make this quick and use up some scraps.” Well, I can promise you I used some scraps, but quick? Not so much. 😉

I started off by using a scrap background leftover from THESE cards. I then die-cut a starry background and adhered a piece of clear acetate to the back. Since this is a shaker ornament, I didn’t want any sequins falling through the stars!

I then die cut some trees out of navy scraps and adhered them to the background. Then I added an extra fox die cut I also had left over from a similar card project.

I used the circle dies to cut a small ring out of adhesive foam, and used that to make space for the sequins. With the dies still taped together, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock. I added sequins in the circles, and then sealed it up by adhering another piece of clear acetate between the white cardstock and the background.

Finally, I took two scrap strips of navy cardstock and created the bottom of my globe, and taped some string to the back.

Not exactly quick, but I did use a lot of little scraps!

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!

Supplies: Horizontal Stars in the Sky die from My Favorite Things; Winter Silhouettes, Winter Animals and Circle Infinity dies from Hero Arts.
