Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started creating cards:

When my kids were young, I began to scrapbook special occasions. Later, I was introduced to stamping. Not long after that, I made a website and a blog to document my creative journey. I am honored to be a part of the Unity Stamp Co. design team, and now also for the CardMaker blog team. Recently, I began making short video tutorials, mostly for Unity. I get to do what I love and I couldn?t be happier about that.

Here are a few of Gaylynn?s favorite cards she?s created:

This is one of my favorite watercolor cards with Unity. I love the beautiful scene by Phyllis Harris. I added layers of watercolor and also softly blended the sky.

This is one of my favorite floral cards with Altenew. I incorporated a little mixed media into this card background using Distress Oxide ink and then stencil embossing. I like the cluster of roses as the focus.

This is another Unity favorite. I colored this with Copic® markers and accented the sky with Distress ink. What makes this special is the touch of gold deco foil pen accents on the flowers and on the branch. It shines beautifully in person.

Fun Facts:

The one word that best describes me is passionate. Whatever I do, I do with all my heart and soul. I give my all to those I love, to my commitments and to my hobby.

If I could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive), it would be my Mom. I miss her. Dinner with her would be filled with stories and laughs. I miss that with her.

My favorite movie/television show is Game of Thrones. My son bought me the first season. I did not think it was for me. Boy, was I wrong. I was hooked after the first episode. I cannot wait for the final season coming up.

I?d love to learn how to draw and design images. It would be fun to incorporate new design elements into my passion for paper crafting.

I?m never without my phone. Although, it is nice to disconnect every now and then.

The best super power to have would be a positive attitude. I believe that a positive attitude will lead to better things. I like to tell myself, delight in the little things and look for the good.
