Rebecca’s Creative Space
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hello CardMaker fans—Rebecca here today! I wanted to give you a peek into my creative space, which means of course that I had to clean up. Trust me, most days it does not look even remotely this neat! This first photo is a view of the left-hand side of the room. I have two desks lined up next to each other.

The desk on the right houses my 12 x 12-inch trimmer, my computer, my sewing machine and pens. Notice the garbage can on the desk? That is there because we have two 10-month-old puppies that destroy and get into anything on the ground!

This next photo shows a couple of cubes. The one on the right holds felt, foam, heat-embossing products and my label maker. The one on the left contains 8 1/2 x 11-inch cardstock and more foam. On top of both cubes are containers of dies, 6 x 6-inch paper pads and large background stamps plus stencils.

Going over to the left, I have my Copic® markers, Sharpie journaling pens and my ink pads in ROYGBV order.

Above all that is my peg board. I got it sadly when a local scrapbook store closed. I hang all my Thickers and other alphabet stickers. I also hang my scissors and rings of ribbon and washi tape, too.

On my desk, I have a tool organizer and a pretty gold wire basket that I picked up from Anthropologie. I like to mix practical with pretty!

I use the We R Memory Keepers Project Life storage to store all my 4 x 6-inch and 3 x 4-inch cards but I also use them to store stamp sets that don?t have matching dies and my Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Cube organizers.

Under the left-hand desk is a nice set of drawers that are from Ikea. In one drawer, I have my sequin storage.

In another drawer, I have all my planner supplies.

Next to the door, I have two Ikea cube units stacked on top of each other. This area houses my planners, design team products, 12 x 12-inch patterned papers, photos and more!

On top, I have my twine in sugar jars and some props I use for photos.

On the other side of the room, I have a large wooden white diaper table that I had purchased when my daughter was born (she is now 11)! It is probably the only piece of furniture in the house that is not particle board so I don?t want to get rid of it! I use it with the hutch from my desk to house my large format printer, vintage typewriter, laminator, Epson photo printer and Silhouette Cameo. The drawers hold everything from Cameo supplies to punches and the big door on the right opens to shelves that keep all my camera equipment safe. Next to the diaper table is a laser printer that the family uses.

Finally, I have a Raskog cart from Ikea. The top shelf holds all my Queen and Co. goodies, the second and third shelves have all my mixed media and painting supplies.

Thanks for sticking around for this photo heavy post and taking a peek inside my creative space. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section below! And if you have any suggestions about how I could organize anything better let me know that below too! I am always moving things around and trying out new organizational ideas!

Love the storage space! What containers do you use for the sequins?

    • Rebecca Keppel says:

The sequin storage units are called: Darice 82-Piece Elizabeth Ward Bead Storage Solutions Tiny Container Storage Tray
      I got mine on Amazon.

Where did you find the Copic Markers storage unit? I’ve been searching for one that would work for me for ages…

I saw them on Jennifer McGuire’s blog years ago! I went back to try and find out where I got them, but sadly, I don’t think the company exists anymore. Sorry! 🙁
