Winter Warm Up Blog Hop
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

If you love creating cards for challenges and meeting fellow card makers, you need to head over to our Card Swaps forum and check out the Winter Warm Up Crop! Beginning today through Saturday, challenges and games will be posted in the forum; you will have until February 14, 2012, to get your projects posted to the appropriate thread. All the details for the crop can be found in the forum and there are lots of friendly card makers there who will help you out if you’ve never participated in a crop before.

In celebration of the crop, we are also participating in a fun blog hop. The theme for the hop is “Winter Warm Up.” The only requirement for the hop is that the project created had to make you smile and help warm you up during the cold winter months. My least favorite thing about winter are the gray, dreary days, so I knew I wanted my project to have lots of color and be able to brighten someone’s day. I love flowers and the patterned paper on the card I created reminds me that spring is not too far away, the perfect thought on a blustery, wintry day.

Supplies used: Sweet Threads printed papers and fabric flowers from BasicGrey; stamp set from Stampendous!; ink pad from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko; Aqua Markers from Letraset; ribbon from American Crafts Inc.; adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L?.

In addition to the hop, there is also a little game happening with the blog hop. However, you will need to visit each blog on the hop in order to play. Each blog post in the hop will contain a letter. Once you have collected all of the letters, you will need to unscramble them to form a word. The last hostess in the blog hop will direct you to the thread in the forum where you will find all the details you will need to enter the drawing.

All hoppers collecting all the letters, unscrambling the word or phrase, entering the game by following the directions in the forum, and leaving feedback on every blog on the hop will be entered into a random drawing held on February 15, 2012, for a chance to win a prize. Only one hopper will have their name drawn and win a prize! That’s why it’s important to visit all of the blogs, plus you’ll get to see some beautiful creations!

Would you like a hint as to what the unscrambled word could be? Here are your clues … it’s a phrase and it’s a way papercrafters warm up. Hmm, what could it be?

This is the first stop on the hop, so your first letter is R.

Please hop over to Lora’s blog to see her lovely project and to collect your next letter.

In case you get lost, here is a list of all the blogs participating in the hop:
