Quilling is one card-making technique that is a bit intimidating to me. Typically, I'd be too impatient to sit and create all those intricate pieces, but during one afternoon crafting session, I surprised myself! After reading the quilling article by Ann Martin in the March issue of CardMaker, I was inspired to give quilling another try. (The last time I'd done this was in Bible school quite a few years ago!) Ann, a talented quilling artist, shared helpful tips for creating perfectly formed quilled shapes. And, after a few practice pieces, I found myself truly enjoying quilling and the challenge of perfectly forming each piece.
If you've never tried quilling and you're ready to stretch your card-making skills, you need to give it a try! With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this is your opportunity. Your friends and family will be wowed by the amazing cards you'll create.
