Brooke_Smith@DRGnetwork.comCardMaker magazine features greeting cards, invitations, gift cards and tags, and postcards created primarily from paper. Many of the cards include suggestions for finishing the inside and coordinating envelopes ideas. Containing a wide variety of project ideas and tutorials for techniques and skills such as coloring, inking and rubber stamping, paper folding and hand lettering, this magazine will appeal to card crafters of all experience levels. Each issue will contain projects ranging from quick-and-easy to designs requiring a bit more time to construct. In addition to collections of cards for specific holidays and events, each issue will contain all-occasion cards such as thank you, get well, sympathy, baby, birthday, congratulations, encouragement, wedding/anniversary and thinking of you. We welcome submissions for all of the features and themes listed below.

Editorial Focuses:All-occasion wintry greeting cards: This feature may include quick & easy cards for birthdays, thank you, thinking of you, Kwanza, Hanukkah, New Year’s. Please limit your design to include no more than five products in addition to the cardstock you use for the card base. We’ll be looking for cards featuring unique techniques or construction methods.
Thanksgiving: We’d like to feature unique ways to present or showcase the thank-you type sentiments ie: Hand-lettering, stamping, computer generated, stickers, die-cuts, etc.
Christmas – Reflections of Christmas – All designs should include a metallic silver, gold, bronze, copper element of some type. This can be paper, ribbon, embellishments, embossing, etc. We will be accepting both cards and gift tags for this feature.
Our Regular Features section in this issue will include:
Card Capers (quick and easy cards that can be created in under 15 minutes)
A Card & More (a card and coordinating ensemble, i.e. envelope, gift bag, tag, small gift, etc.)
Quill It Easy (cards with quilling accents and embellishments)
Stamping Savvy (cards that feature rubber stamping techniques; images, backgrounds, borders, etc. created in a
unique manner)
Sketchbook (following the provided sketch, create sample projects to inspire the card-making process)
