Ana, that's a cute, cute card. Love the adorable snowman!

Here is my card. To be honest, color challenges are not usually my thing. But after I started seeing all the beautiful cards everyone else was making with these colors, I wanted to make one too! I also saw some handmade poinsettias somewhere - I think it was Facebook. They were on clothing, but I didn't see any reason I couldn't put one on a card. So I wanted to try making one. I made it out of some lace-like fabric from one of my Goodwill clothing finds.

Thanks for the great challenge Lora!

Susan, your card is fantastic!  I love that you stitched the colors together and that you used different embossing for the different colors to create a patchwork.  Really, really wonderful card!

Ana, your snowman is adorable, but I'm REALLY digging the snow border underneath him!  What did you use for that?

Judy, your pointsettia turned out great and I love how you used all your layers.  The zigzag sewing is a great touch and the embossing adds a second great focal point as well.

Susan, this is gorgeous. I love all your stitching. I too would love to see your quilt.

Teresa...the quilt I made using these colors was for my mom. I made a matching bed skirt, drapes, throw pillows....the whole shebang. When she died my youngest brother and his wife took it and use it in their bedroom now. Somewhere I have a picture of it but the last move we made we  did not unpack all the boxes so those photos are still packed away. I wish I could still quilt but my sewing days are over thanks to my eyes. I struggled to see stitching this card.

I use Dollar Store glasses now to do fine work, like coloring, on my cards. What a huge difference.

Teresa....I wish I could use the magnifying glasses to help. I know a lot of people who use them and love them! I am legally blind from an ongoing eye inflammation ....I have lupus which is causing this. My problem with using the sewing machine is I can't see the presser foot any more without my face right up to it. Which can be a tad bit dangerous! I've learned how to do a lot of things differently because of my eyes but using the sewing machine has been challenging. I'm either going to have to just give in to hand stitching my cards or hire me a seamstress to sew my cards....any volunteers? Smiley

Judy....I love, love, love your poinsettia! That turned out awesome. Also love that you pulled out the ric rac and used it on your card. I have tons of ric rac from my sewing days and I keep forgetting to use it on my cards. Beautiful card you made with this challenge!

Ana, what an adorable snowman!  Love the card and what a great border depicting snow!

Judy, your card came out very nice.  You did a great job on the poinsettias.  Those red swirls make it stand out.
