yes, I saw it and read it all...
I can really say I've used all kind of paper and ribbon to do my iris folding...
I've also made plenty of mistakes with the kind of paper too...
as far as ribbon I love the shiny ribbon especially for Christmas...
I wish you wonderful and creative ladies would give it a try to an iris folding card with the simple pattern that the CardMaking Magazine gave...try it, it's very rewarding when you turn it to look at the front....

I second that, Ladies. If you have never tried Iris Folding you should give it a whirl. It is really easy to do and it's fun. I like to use origami papers because they come in lots of colors and patterns and they are thin so they fold well. You can also get free patterns on the web. Here is a link for some free simple patterns. This site also has a free monthly pattern that you can sign up for free.

I've used many patterns from Circle of Crafters, but it seems no one is adding to the site. I haven't received any new patterns for a long time. but if you've never done Irish folding try it, its really easy . Everyone is always very impressed because it looks so complicated, so I just don't tell that its easy to do. (haha) I use a light box to copy the pattern to cs.

I'm a member of Circle of Crafters and last year they had a hackler on the internet and
everything went down..they had a hard time putting it back up but again something went wrong...so as far as new pattern that they gave every month is not happening but their site is up and running...and now and then a member will post patterns...

click on "enter our message board" and it will bring you to the new site...enjoy
