Hi all, AJ here to share my Outside the Box card! I so love this idea, since I often tend to use my own layouts repeatedly over and over. And, for my inspiration piece today, I chose my Love the Earth card that was originally shown in the May 2009 issue of CardMaker.
Since we are heading towards Valentine’s Day, I figured I could recreate it with new colors and theme.
I stamped “love” randomly all over the patterned paper in coordinating ink before adhering the patterned paper to the card front. I die-cut and embossed the pink scalloped layer, and the white circle. The heart and circle outline image fit perfectly into my circle die cut. After I secured the die cuts to the card with 3-D Foam Squares, I added a small touch of Stickles glitter glue to my hearts.
I hope this inspires you to pull out your older CardMaker issues and create!
~AJ

This is stunning!
Greetings from Buffalo, NY! AJ, I just love your idea of ‘casing’ your own layouts and both of these cards are adorable! I would like to know if your card size is a 3 X 3? Thanks for sharing!! Debbie Pokerwinski
Debbie- It is actually 4 1/4 X 4 1/4″. You could scale it down and make it 3 X 3. The original is just something to help get the creative process started!
Both versions are awesome! Love the way you created the “love” background!
Love this card design AJ! Nice background and both versions ROCK!
